The temperature was in the
-degrees and it proved to be too much for the cameras but not for 6 hardy extremers. Allen, Doug, Margie, Josh, Lizzy and Matt showed up ready to brave the elements and conquer the levy on a kayak. After a few warm up runs we decided we had to try going down standing up. Doug was the first to do it successfully after some minor carnage. Allen made it soon after. Unfortunately by this time the shutters in Margie's camera were frozen shut so no pics were able to be taken of these extreme stand up feats. She did get a few shots prior to this but the weather just proved to be too much for her two cameras. One other notable feat was all six of us crammed onto one kayak just to see if we could fit. We did fit and made a flawless run. We'll have to try for 8 next time. Though cold, it was a great evening.

it was a hoot! but TOO cold! my eyes kept tearing up, then they'd freeze on my face!!!!
